The woodpeckers myth

On mountain high

in soft domes heat

i breathe a trebled breath

basked in air of heightened clef

in wayward thoughts

of death

at altitudes

of near blown myths

and strangely reaching arms

of wooded ghosts

‘neath diamond skies

clasped loose

in natures charms

of much allured

kaleidoscope

and magic windshown way

in whose soft grip

i falter still

and dream of dreams

That stay.
